Practice

Advocate Santhosh Kumar handles civil, criminal, property, family and business cases in the district courts and tribunals at Coimbatore, and in the Madras High Court. The practice started in 2019 with civil and criminal work. It now also covers motor accident claims, cheque bounce and money recovery, employment and PoSH matters, consumer complaints and advice for businesses.

There are offices at Rathinapuri, Vadavalli, Sulur, Pollachi. Every case is handled personally — the advocate you meet at the first meeting is the one who appears in court. Your case is not handed to a junior once you have paid.

Approach

The first meeting is for getting the facts and the dates straight, not for comfort. You then get a written opinion: what your papers prove, what they do not, how much time the law still gives you, and what is likely to happen. Where the honest answer is that no case should be filed, that is what you will be told.

If a registered document, a well-drafted notice, or mediation will close the matter, that is suggested first. Court cases in India are slow, and avoiding one is often worth more than winning it.
